This was a bit of a callback to Blue Room Boy - Similar sorts of vibes were in the inspiring photo, so I sought to bring that same thoughtful introspection through with this new painting. Not entirely sure if it worked how I wanted: I got a little lost in making his face work right, and I'm fairly sure the earlier version was better..!

However what I ended up with works just as well. This is a lot more detailed than I usually go for, a side effect of dealing with an actual face. It does not look like the boy from the photo, but the boy in the painting is at least, correct - and suitably thoughtful.
