Back to experimenting with non-realistic skin colours. The source photo was heavily shaded by blue/red lighting, and here I'm exploring focusing on that - only two colours were used, plus black and white for shading. The red really gives it intensity that contrasts nicely with the soft pose and nature of the image.
I'm especially proud of the articulation of the area where we can't see the face - to me it's the clearest part of this painting, where the rest is more suggestive and rough. Focus is on what we can't see - on the hiding person.
