The first of several pieces done when on holiday in Yorkshire in 2023 - This was done from a promotional photograph of a young Marlon Brando in the stage production of A Streetcar Named Desire. It was such a soft and beautiful image (whilst also very contrastingly dramatic!) that I just had to recreate my own version. I love the way his body is twisted, the odd shape of the arm and chest in the front. There is tension in the pose, but it's still very relaxed.
