Rubber on Yellow (Blake)

This piece is, I believe, of another artist! I was experimenting with painting dominated by a single shade at this point, and obviously this one is all about yellow. It was one of my earlier attempts at getting the reflections of shiny black rubber, which mostly worked. Oil was perhaps not an ideal choice given how easily it can blend together!
The original was quite heavily lit from behind, which I tried to emulate with a mostly-silhouetted subject. It was good practice, though it definitely wasn't quite what I was aiming for.
