This was painted from a photograph I took. I haven't seen the subject in years, I lost contact. I have no idea if he ever knew I painted this! It's one of the first paintings I did from a photograph I'd taken myself, which was a bit of a challenge as I was much more critical of the accuracy of the painting! Fortunately I managed to not get too lost in the details.
