Based on a historic photograph of St Pauls, this piece was a gift for a friend. The real reason for the gift is the little figure in the sky, high up above the cathedral. The only splash of colour in the image is the figure - just a tiny blip of warm in an otherwise neutral painting. I did very much enjoy the slightly blurred, speckled way I painted this - though I've not yet used that technique again since!
